Concert from the Candlelight series at Le 9e, the Art Deco hall atop Eaton Centre (1500 boulevard Robert-Bourassa). A live ensemble performs by candlelight a program devoted to the great female voices of jazz: Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and other golden-age icons. The glowing setting and the room's acoustics give the night a distinctive feel. Runs about an hour.
